On Saturday morning the BBC had forecast a better day for Sunday and 12 C. In fact Saturday was bright and warm, but Sunday was 7 C max plus very heavy showers - how wrong can they be. Luckily the wind forecast by Guru (and even by the BBC) came through in the end.

When I arrived at the lake there was a flat calm, but trusting in Guru I rigged 5.8 and went out on the Techno just as it started to fill in. Had a nice session of blasting and some well powered gybes, which seem to be getting more consistent in planing out. Had a worrying moment gybing in a big gust when I was heading for one of the chest high buoys clew first. I could not carve tightly enough so jumped off and landed just in front of the buoy. My board and rig flew about 20 metres and it was not pleasant swimming after them.

Came in to change down to the Max 2 Air and had a maxed out session on that with a few hops before coming in to rig the 5.3. Then it dropped off and that was that. Really cold, really wet, but a great session.
